StudentTracker Secondary Education Manager

The StudentTracker Secondary Education Manager is charged with managing all back office and coordinating services for StudentTracker for High Schools. The Manager will work collaboratively with relevant partnership personnel from the American Association for School Administrators. Responsibilities and activities will include: organizing, facilitating and leading team meetings and activities across multiple functions as they relate to the design, implementation, and marketing of StudentTracker for High Schools. Manager of STSE duties will also include the coordination and documentation of activities of the information technology, legal, and marketing departments. This includes coordinating support for relevant partnership personnel from the American Association for School Administrators and direct involvement in externally oriented marketing activities. The Manager of STSE may be asked to travel throughout the nation as much as 30% of the time that would include some overnight travel.

In working with each functional group the Manager will coordinate the work breakdown structure, critical path progress, and timeline adherence of all parties related to the management and coordination of StudentTracker client services. The Manager will serve as liaison with program/project sponsor, participating schools, internal management, and other external stakeholders. The position will facilitate, coordinate, and manage all activities related to planning, executing, monitoring, and marketing product development programs throughout the entire project.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Workflow Management

  • Work closely with the Marketing & Client Relations management to determine how best to activate and maximize service usage.
  • Coordinate marketing for StudentTracker for High Schools (STHS) and production and support services from ST group.
  • Develop operational procedures and staff schedules to optimize new service implementation from the school client’s perspective, appropriately balancing operational impacts.
  • Manage the timely coordination and accurate implementation of new services for STHS
  • Ensure that post-implementation follow-up efforts occur in order to further ensure optimal usage and satisfaction of the newly implemented service

Workforce Management

  • Communicate all new information related to services, procedures, and company issues, changes or actions to StudentTracker for High School staff.

Critical Client Service Implementation

  • Coach the client through the specifications for technical implementation of various services
  • Provide verbal and written responses during testing process
  • Document communications and the progress of the implementation process, clearly communicating next steps
  • Work closely with sales and operations management to determine how best to activate and maximize usage of service
  • Conduct periodic follow-up to assess service usage, effectiveness of StudentTracker for High School educational and support services, and client satisfaction
  • Compile feedback for service improvements at least once a year for review by the Executive Director and/or the Senior Director of Research.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Liberal Arts
  • Proven experience as a manager of others for at least 2 years
  • 3+ years of experience with standard business computer tools and software (Microsoft Office, etc.)
  • At least one year of proficiency in Microsoft’s Project Manager and Visio software
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of previous business experience, in the education industry preferred
  • Extensive ability to work independently
  • Demonstrated ability to assess and adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to manage multiple areas of the project and coordinate all resources related to the project
  • Ability to present technical information to both technical / non-technical audience demonstrated by at least one year of experience
  • Self-directed, must be able to work efficiently and effectively without close supervision.

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet.
  • Must be flexible to do out-of-town assignments and travel for up to 3-4 days a t a time when needed.
  • Travel via car and airplane.
  • Must live within a commutable distance of Herndon, VA.
